Get Support

The best way to get support is to attend a meeting and meet other recovering ACA's face to face.

If you can't get out to a meeting, consider attending a phone meeting. You can hear a list of those meetings on the ACA phone bridge information line: (951) 262-3623.

ACA also has several online/email groups and chat room meetings.

If you are in crisis, please reach out. Lots of people care about you. Most, if not all, meetings have a phone list and/or phone number exchange. Use those numbers. You will help the person you call as much as yourself. You can also call one of the many (non ACA related) crisis lines. They exist to help you!

The purpose of ACA is threefold:  To shelter and support newcomers in confronting denial; to comfort those mourning their early loss of security, trust, and love; and to teach the skills for re-parenting ourselves with gentleness, humor, love and respect.  -p 82 ACA text
