Fellow Traveler (FT), is a place for individuals working the 12-step program "Adult Children of Alcoholics."

Founded in 1978, Adult Children of Alcoholics (ACA) provides support and structure for those healing from the developmental trauma caused by growing up in a dysfunctional home.  Back in those days, the most "popular" form of dysfunction was alcoholism, thanks to the success of Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-anon.  In the past thirty years, the mental health field has discovered that dysfunctional families come in all flavors.   ACA members are from families affected by terminal illness, war, infidelity, mental illness, as well as drug and alcohol addiction.   All are welcome in ACA even though the name of the group may seem exclusive.  (We hope someday the name might change.)

FT is not in any way affiliated with ACA or any 12 step group.  Most of the content is original.  Except for the steps, everything on this site is the intellectual property of Let Go Missions.
